Ron Kertzner

Ron Kertzner enhances the abilities of individuals, organizations and communities to make conscious choices to produce results that truly matter.

His work focuses on three core competencies:

  • leadership development/personal mastery
  • coaching and conversations
  • facilitating collaborative change.

Mr. Kertzner integrates these competencies into leadership and coaching programs he offers in both the private and non-profit sectors. He most recently served as faculty for General Electric’s Management Development Course and Mastering Personal Leadership program at its corporate training center in Crotonville, N.Y. He also just cocreated a course, Masterful Coaching, for the software company, Intuit.

He is a contributing author to Rediscovering the Soul of Business and Four Gateways Coaching.

Ron and his wife, Susan Jordan Kertzner, founded ChoicePoint Consulting, Inc., a leadership training and consulting firm in 1997. Prior to that he served with Leading Learning Communities in Boulder, CO. In the early 1990’s, he was a trainer and consultant with Interaction Associates, a national training and consulting firm with offices in Boston and San Francisco.

During the 1980’s, Ron was adjunct faculty at Tufts University and Emerson College, both in the Boston area. He was also a research associate at the Program on Negotiation at the Harvard Law School.

Mr. Kertzner holds a law degree from Boston University School of Law. He completed his undergraduate work at Duke University, where he majored in public policy. His post-graduate work included negotiation training through the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School and dialogue training through the Dialogue Project at MIT’s Organizational Learning Center. He is certified as a “Shadow Work” facilitator.In 1995, he was ordained as an interfaith minister through OneSpirit Learning Alliance in New York.
