Rick Von Feldt

Rick Von Feldt, a Mobius Senior Consultant. He is a specialist in talent management, individual development, social collaboration and communities of practice. He is an executive coach for over25 executives around the world.

Rick consults both under his moniker "The HR Futurist" as well as part of partnerships with other organizations.

Previously, Rick was the Vice President of Training and Development for the largest business organization at HP, the Enterprise business group of Hewlett-Packard. He was responsible for world-wide learning and development of the 108,000 employees in HP's Technology Solutions Group plus 100,000 additional contractors and partners. This group is comprised of an Enterprise Sales team, Enterprise Servers and Storage, HP Services – including consulting, outsourced services and technology support, and HP Software. He led a global team of 162 learning and development professionals – all of whom focus on insuring there is the ideal amount of individual and team capability necessary for each business to meet its goals.

Rick has worked in human resources for seventeen years, including HR and Training roles at Gillette, Dell and Hewlett-Packard. He was involved in global leadership and sales training at Gillette. While at Dell, he worked in talent management, general HR, as director of staffing for APJ and in learning and development.

During his career, he has lived and worked in Singapore and Japan for eight years as well as in Europe. He is currently based in the San Francisco bay area.

In 2004, Rick Von Feldt was a survivor of the 2004 Asian tsunami. He created a website that features the survivor stories. The website at www.phukettsunami.blogspot.com continues to receive over a thousand hits each day to educate many about the strength of the survivors. Rick has been an avid writer and blogger for many years. Rick lives in the San Francisco bay area.

Rick Von Feldt is also a coach and advisor to the Stanford University Graduate School of Business Communications department. He is a coach for the Critical Analytical Thinking program and the Stanford Sloan Masters Program.
