Lucy Fine, MA

Lucy Fine is a certified professional coach with over twenty-five years of experience. She provides coaching to executives, teams, and emerging leaders in both the association and corporate communities. Her approach to coaching is known for supporting clients to develop awareness and understanding that fosters emotional intelligence. Lucy’s coaching framework builds alignment between personal goals and talents and the strategic goals of the organization. She provides a map, including methods and tools, for navigating complex and often ambiguous environments.

Through her unique systems-centered orientation, Lucy facilitates strategic planning, multi-stakeholder decision making, conflict resolution, and value-added negotiation practices that lead to success for both individuals and organizations. She is practical, yet holds the bigger picture. She supports individuals to focus on what is realizable by working to remove personal barriers that keep them from transitioning easily through change.

Before executive coaching, Lucy had a career as a registered nurse and a midwife, as well as a 20-year practice as a psychotherapist. She has worked in hospitals and clinical settings, with unions and professional associations. Lucy has provided coaching and consultation within the public sector, with government and nonprofits, and in the private sector. She has taught at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Her association experience includes the California Nurse’s Association, the American Group Psychological Association, the Professional Mentors and Coaches Association, and the Systems-Centered Training and Research Institute. She has a B.A. from Antioch College, a B.S. from UCSF, and an MA from JFK University in Counseling Psychology. She was certified to coach through the Coaches Training Institute.
