Lorraine D. Gordon

Lorraine D. Gordon, MS

Lorraine Gordon brings fifteen years to Mobius as an experienced facilitator/workshop leader, communications professional, entrepreneur, and executive coach. She coaches leaders and teams on shifting and transforming their behaviors to better align with the company’s culture and core values around performance, service, engagement, accountability, and development. Lorraine’s approach is goals-driven with emphasis on accountability, metrics and stakeholder feedback. Her coaching methods focus on observing and shifting performance gaps, and creating a congruent, authentic, and effective leadership presence. As a skilled facilitator, Lorraine takes a developmental and systems approach where she helps groups increase their effectiveness by improving the way they engage and problem solve in the larger organization. She helps to create fundamental changes by increasing participants’ awareness and power of choice, as well as applying the workshop concepts to real business and performance goals.

Lorraine has held leadership positions within for-profit and non-profit organizations, including ten years at Fannie Mae as a senior manager in housing & community development. Lorraine led a number of team-building and professional development activities for various business units as well as helping shape the company’s culture strategy by facilitating customized two-day personal transformation workshops. During five years at Kaiser Permanent, she developed and implemented strategic communication programs for more than 5,700 employees and physicians in the company’s Mid-Atlantic States Region that included integrative diversity initiatives and high level learning forums.

As an independent consultant, Lorraine designed and delivered various team and leadership interventions for for-profit and non-profit clients including the International Association of Business Communicators, Booz, Allen, & Hamilton, Maxima Corporation, Mi Casa Board of Directors, the Capital Press Club Board of Directors, Goodwill Industries International, George Mason University, Johns Hopkins University, and several departments in the Montgomery County municipal system.

Lorraine earned her BA in Journalism from Temple University and a Masters in Applied Behavioral Science at Johns Hopkins University. She is a certified executive coach through Georgetown University’s Executive Coaching Certification Program, and has completed facilitator development programs at notable global management companies and train-the-trainer workshops with diversity experts including Edwin Nichols of Nichols and Associates, Inc., Howard Ross of Cook Ross Inc., and David Tulin of Diversi Team Associates.
