Kathy Holub, JD
Kathy Holub is an attorney, trainer, and consultant and teaches negotiation at Columbia Law School. She has also taught negotiation to graduate students and working professionals at Harvard Law School, New York University Law School, and Long Island University.
Based in New York City, Ms. Holub maintains an active consulting practice in conflict management for corporate and individual clients. One of her primary interests is in health care, where she specializes in helping doctors, nurses, and hospital staff work more collaboratively with each other and with patients. She is also a certified mediator.
A former journalist, Ms. Holub has won many awards for writing and reporting; her work has been published in newspapers and magazines across the country. In 1990, while working as a staff writer at the San Jose Mercury News in California, she was part of a team that won a Pulitzer Prize in General News Reporting. More recently, she served as an editor of Beyond Winning: Negotiating to Create Value in Deals and Disputes, by Robert H. Mnookin, Scott R. Peppet and Andrew S. Tulumello (Harvard University Press, 2000).
Ms. Holub is a graduate of Harvard College and Yale Law School. In addition, she spent a year at Stanford University as the recipient of a John S. Knight Fellowship in Journalism, a program for outstanding mid-career journalists.
