Hermann Ditzig

Hermann Ditzig, MSc, MA

Hermann Ditzig is a senior executive coach to business leaders across Asia, with direct experience coaching at the Managing Director level and a strong focus on leadership development and effectiveness.
He founded LeAD in 2003 to focus on Leadership Assessment and Development and Executive Coaching.

Hermann initially focused on designing leadership development training programs, which lead him to create intensive feedback-based development programs using 360 and psychometric assessment tools. He has extensive executive coaching experience with corporate clients including the SVP (Asia) of a global infrastructure services organization to improve his leadership skills and organizational effectiveness, the Head (Asia) of a Pharmaceutical Company to enhance his team development skills, four division heads of an IT services company to improve their effectiveness in working with each other, the head of this Asia region firm the top team of a Singapore government agency who had embarked on a 360 feedback exercise to improve their leadership capability as a feedback coach, and the top team of a Malaysian conglomerate that wanted to identify and develop the next generation of corporate leaders via executive and feedback coaching techniques.

Prior to his career as an executive coach, Hermann held leadership positions as a partner with PA Consulting Group as head of the Management Development Practice in SEA, and as the Senior Vice President, Asia for one of PA’s subsidiaries, Cubiks, which focused on developing e-HR tools and services. In addition to his consulting work, he has held academic positions, teaching Organization Development related courses in the US and Asia. He began his career in the US, as a Medical Sociologist working in Departments of Psychiatry at two medical colleges. He shifted to Organization Development as a consequence of a large national study he was involved with that showed that leadership and organization experiences can have a significant impact on the psychological well being of organizational members.

Hermann’s early degrees (MA and BA) were in Sociology with a focus on Medical, Social and Clinical Psychology. He completed all his course work plus the qualifying exam for his PhD but decided to switch his career goals before completing the doctorate. He went on to obtain an MSc in Organization Science focusing on Organization Development. He has been accredited to use various psychometric instruments (MBTI, PAPI, Belbin, Symlog) and 360 tools to assess leadership competencies. He is professionally affiliated with or a member of the following organizations: Founding President of the Association of Psychological Type (Singapore), the Academy of Management, Accredited Trainer in Cubiks-related Psychometric and Assessment products, Registered Organization Development Consultant (RODC), the American Society of Training and Development, Council of Elders for the Singapore Training and Development Association (current member and former executive committee member), International Coach Federation, and International Association of Coaches.
