Gwenllian Krause

Gwen Krause, a Mobius Consultant, is an international trainer and coach with twenty years of experience teaching professionals to negotiate, communicate and broker differences collaboratively across cultural and corporate boundaries. Her purpose is to provide dynamic development programs that effectively blend proven theory with practical and sustainable skill building.

Gwen’s professional experience is diverse and she has worked as a Senior Associate for Goodrich and Sherwood, Partners In Human Resources International, Vantage Partners and The Alternative Dispute Resolution Center in Rome.  In 1999 she founded Polaris Professional Development, a training and consulting firm. She has facilitated training programs in 17 countries for clients including: IBM, Proctor and Gamble, Lexmark, Deloitte and Touche, HBO, MTV, DDB, Capital One, Fidelity, Pfizer, sanofi-aventis and McGraw-Hill. Recently, in collaboration with the ADR Center, she designed and facilitated a 3 day negotiation and communication program for the global senior management team of Diesel, an Italian fashion company. The course has been taught 7 times and leaders from 11 countries have attended.

Gwen’s background in negotiation and conflict resolution draws from her work with the theories developed at the Harvard Negotiation Project. She has studied several communication theories and most recently has attended intensive trainings with Action Design gaining mastery in the work of Chris Argyris. The breadth of Gwen’s professional development and experience allow her to design highly customized programs that meet the specific business needs of learners.

In addition to her focus in negotiation and communication Gwen holds several certifications including: The Myers Briggs Type Indicator, Technical Leadership (Blessing White), Situational Leadership (Blanchard Partners), Strategic Relationship Management (Vantage Partners) Career Development and Lifescapes (Masteryworks). She is a past Board Member of the New York Chapter of The International Association of Career Management Professionals. She currently serves on the Board of the Northeast Health Foundation.

A graduate of Brown University, Gwen received a Bachelors Degree in English. At Brown, Gwen also designed and completed an independent major in Performance. She combined courses in anthropology, ethnomusicology, choreography and indigenous dance and theater to understand the social and aesthetic significance of diverse performance traditions. At the graduate level Gwen has completed several courses in Organizational Development and Leadership at Columbia University and The New School for Social Research.

Gwen resides in Brooklyn and when not traveling and teaching she has done stand up comedy, photography and a fair amount of fishing in the Adirondacks where her family has had a home for five generations. Her favorite role is as an aunt to a 10 year old nephew and a 3 year old niece who are learning about the world when they receive postcards from every place that Aunty Gwen travels to and finding them on the map.
