Gal Adam Spinrad

Gal brings over twelve years of experience to her work in the social sector, previously as Program and Outreach Officer at the Tides Foundation, where she was responsible for organizing events bringing philanthropists and activists together for collaboration and learning. For the past six years, Gal has been as an independent consultant and event organizer, working primarily with nonprofit organizations and philanthropic foundations.

Gal utilizes her exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills, as well as her experience in event planning and coordination, program and organizational development, facilitation, fundraising, research and writing to serve communities working to effect positive change locally, nationally and globally. Gal is a consultant with the Madera Group (www.maderagroup.net) a high-impact consulting firm that supports socially beneficial organizations and projects in reaching their full potential.

Gal has worked with diverse organizations of all sizes, including the Tides Foundation, the Women's Foundation of California, artAngels.org, the Community Technology Foundation, the Marguerite Casey Foundation, the San Francisco Jewish Film Festival, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, Mills College, the Graduate Theological Union, and the Jewish community of the San Francisco Bay Area.

Gal served for several years on the boards of the Spirit Awakening Foundation and artAngels.org. She holds a B.A. in History with highest honors from UCLA, where she worked in defense of affirmative action and wrote for the Jewish and feminist campus publications. Gal lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband and their amazing two-and-a-half year old daughter.
