Erin V. Lehman, PhD
Erin Lehman is a Senior Researcher with the Center for Public Leadership at the John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University. She is widely experienced in assessing and understanding organizational complexity to the effect of helping clients improve team effectiveness and resolve conflict. Erin spent over five years specifically designing and facilitating customized team building events for Fortune 500 companies. Prior to her appointment at the Kennedy School, Erin worked for McKinsey & Company in Washington, D.C. and spent over fifteen years with the Harvard Business School and the Department of Psychology at Harvard University. Her academic research and publications have focused on leadership and teamwork, and especially on self-governing and senior leadership teams. In addition to extensive field research with Professor J. Richard Hackman, she has helped design and run executive education programs at the Sloan School of Management, the London Business School, and at Harvard University.
Erin graduated from Wellesley College with a Bachelor’s in Economics and a minor in Russian Studies. She received her PhD from City University of London focused on “Models of Self-Governance and Workplace Democracy in Germany, the U.S., and U.K.”
