Elizabeth Matsui

Eli is an executive coach and master trainer based in Tokyo. Her list of clients includes some of Japan’s most prominent enterprises – public and private – and spans a wide range of industries including telecommunication, information technology, financial services, and aerospace.

As an executive coach, Eli is interested in working with clients in a way that leads to sustained results. Her style of coaching has been described as having the high levels of intensity, rigor, and engagement needed to generate strategic insight and awareness. This approach has earned continuing engagement with individuals and organizations.

Eli works with a variety of assessment instruments including the MBTI. She is also a certified NLP practitioner (International NLP Association, Washington DC) and has received specialized training under a number of thought leaders in the applied behavioral sciences. In a training capacity, she has delivered programs to over 100,000 participants in Japan and other countries such as Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and China. Her focus has been on leadership development, coaching, presentation skills, and performance management.

Before entering private practice, Eli worked with major Japanese trading concerns. She held positions of increasing responsibility and rank in such companies as Mitsui & Co. (Canada) and Nippon Manpower.

Eli is a Canadian citizen and a permanent resident of Japan.
