Darbie Stokes, PT

Darbie brings her thirty years of experience as a Physical Therapist and Health Advocate to Mobius as a health coach and advocate. She has coached and treated patients and clients of all ages through health challenges ranging from creating and implementing wellness goals to managing major personal and family health crises. As founder and Executive Director of The Health Alliance in Cambridge, Mass., she became expert in the field of complementary medicine, supporting clients who wished to integrate alternative care with traditional medicine. She also was senior therapist at the Pain Unit of Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital and currently works with clients dealing with chronic pain.

Having managed her own challenges with cancer, Darbie has a unique capability to help patients and their friends and families negotiate the often confusing journey from diagnosis to cure. As a result of her extensive experience with Physical Therapy, Darbie is adept at helping clients who are preparing for surgery and those with disability issues, musculoskeletal problems, or cardiac concerns, as well as athletes and dancers. She enjoys helping families of aging parents create programs for their care.

Darbie’s focus is demystifying and guiding her clients through the maze of choices in today’s health care system while offering them support and encouragement. She is available for all aspects of your journey, from goal setting and treatment planning to referrals and visits to health care providers.

Through her work with PT patients and health coaching clients, Darbie began to see that many of them were disempowered and lacking in confidence about their outward appearance and personal impact in the world. Recognizing the importance of creating and projecting a healthful and confident image, she became certified as a fashion, custom color, and image consultant through Jeunique International in 1990. Since then she has helped hundreds of clients develop and maintain a wardrobe based on personal style, color, and body frame analysis that affords them professional and casual image confidence.
