Bonnie Wentworth, MA
Bonnie Wentworth has a proven twenty-five year track record of catalyzing strategic change and producing results for individuals, teams and organizations. Building on a foundation of managing people, processes and services, Bonnie has coached, taught and consulted to leaders of successful organizations including Stanford, Charles Schwab, eBay, Gap, Kaiser, UCSF Medical Center, Vivo Ventures, NetApp and Genentech – as well as start-ups and non-profits.
Bonnie is frequently cited as a trusted advisor by her clients; her coaching style and broad experience has supported her success with senior and C-level technology, financial, venture capital and legal leaders. Prior to founding the Wentworth Consulting Group LLC in 1998, Bonnie led a nationwide team as a Director for Charles Schwab in San Francisco. Additionally, Bonnie serves as adjunct staff for several OB courses at Stanford's Graduate School of Business including Paths to Power with Jeffrey Pfeffer.
Bonnie's recent engagments include: Coach and trusted advisor to Chief Information Security Officer driving organizational transformation in information security. Focus on building leadership team bench strength, stakeholder engagement and successful culture change/ mind set strategies; Coach, trusted advisor and organizational consultant to CFO and executive team committed to high performance and struggling with conflict over competing priorities with limited resources. Engagement includes coaching CFO and several direct reports, facilitating two person dialogues, designing and facilitating quarterly all-day strategic planning and team development off sites. Results are greater team effectiveness including a prioritization of shared and functional goals, an increase of productivity and satisfaction through disciplined dialogue with increased skills and comfort with difficult conversations and productive conflict; Coach, trusted advisor to SVPs of National Sales & Account Management and Operations to leverage influence to produce strategic change and tangible results through their own and peer's organizations in a highly complex, federated organizational structure. Bonnie facilitated interactive key note speech on accountability and resilience at annual National Operations leadership meeting for 90-person management group to increase personal ownership of annual strategic goal development and implementation within a challenging environment; Facilitated monthly off- site leadership meetings for CIO and his executive team. Implemented new group decision making process to drive greater decision ownership at cross-organization implementation phase.
With an undergraduate degree in Classics and Master's in Organizational Psychology, Bonnie brings inquiry, rigor and discipline to bear in her client relationships. Bonnie serves on the advisory board of Playworks, a nationwide non-profit bringing positive play to urban elementary school students. Bonnie integrates life experiences as a leader, competitive athlete, mother, wife, volunteer, adventurer, learning junkie, change catalyst and human being in her work.
